Goodbye Abbigayle: You Will Be Missed
Abbigayle was born premature. She was brought home to meet her two
sisters, Ryleigh (3 yrs.) and Maddilyn (11 mos.). She remained with her
family for just a few short weeks before she passed away on Fathers Day,
2005.
Her memory will be etched in our hearts forever.
This poem is dedicated to her.
Today I lay in silence
You may think that I am alone
But don't worry Mommy and Daddy
for my Jesus has taken me home
I am not afraid
This place is exactly as it should be
Full of joy and laughter
it's a better place for me
I look down on you all
I see the tears that swell in your eyes
hoping that you will find the strength
to finally say "goodbye"
This world that you call home
was never home to me
I entered into this world before my time
now you must set me free
There is no sadness where I am
no sickness nor pain
You may have lost my body in your arms
but Heaven is what I gained
So don't cry for me sweet Mother
I'm sure you did your best
but now the Lord has taken me
to His home to rest
